AWCPD Statement on the Tragic Incident at Bondi Junction

We at the Australia Women and Children Protection and Development (AWCPD) are deeply shocked and heartbroken by the tragic events that unfolded at Bondi Junction over the weekend. It is with great sadness that we have learned of the loss of lives, including five women, a student from the University of Sydney, an artist, an architect, young daughter of millionaire and a mother of a nine-month-old baby, whose mother was tragically killed by protecting her baby.

On behalf of AWCPD, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those lost, as well as to all who have been affected by this devastating incident. We stand ready to support the bereaved families and the community during this incredibly difficult time.

We are in close communication with the relevant authorities, including the Asian communities, and are committed to providing support in any way possible. We understand the deep impact of this tragedy and are here to offer our resources and aid in the healing process.

We urge anyone in need of someone to talk to or any form of support to reach out to relevant psychological support hotlines. Together, we will work through this tragedy and honor the memories of those we have lost.
