Mark your calendars! On Saturday, 19 October, the Uber X Australian Red Cross Clothing Drive returns to make donating your pre-loved, quality clothes even easier. From 10 am to 4 pm, you can book a free Uber package pickup through the Uber app to donate clothing and accessories to Australian Red Cross Shops—available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.
Why Donate?
Australian Red Cross shops are in urgent need of high-quality clothing and accessories to sell. Funds raised from these donations support vulnerable people across Australia and globally. Your donations can make a difference to someone facing hardship, disaster, or isolation.
What Can You Donate?
Australian Red Cross Shops are looking for quality, saleable clothing and accessories. As a rule of thumb, if it’s something you’d happily give to a friend, it’s perfect to donate!
• YES: Quality, vintage, retro, or designer clothing and accessories.
• NO: Damaged, stained, or poor-quality items. Homewares, electronics, or other household goods are not accepted.
How to Donate?
It’s easy! Start by giving your wardrobe a good Spring clean and gather quality, pre-loved items into a bag or box (no heavier than 20kg). Then:
1. Open the Uber app.
2. Scroll to the Red Cross Clothing Drive image and tap.
3. Check that your trip is showing as a $0 amount.
4. Confirm your pickup!
Meet your delivery driver at your door or kerbside for a seamless donation process.
